How To Adjust The Screen Resolution On Your Computer
If your laptop computer screen is too dark when using the battery, you can press the "Fn" key on your keyboard while tapping the F7 or F8 key with the arrow up or (+) plus sign. Click here for detailed instructions.
When the "Fn" function doesn't fix the problem, try checking the resolution settings and make some adjustments. The screen resolution is the degree of brightness and darkness of your computer screen.
To adjust screen resolution for Windows Vista computers :
- click Start menu
- click Control Panel
- click Appearance and Personalization
- click Personalization
- click Display Settings
A shorter way of getting to the display settings is to :
- go to your desktop screen ( the main screen )
- right click on any empty space
- click Personalize ( the personalization page will come up )
- click Display Settings
If the Resolution Slider is set to 1280 x 800 then you are displaying the highest resolution already. If the slider sits on the middle then you can slide it towards the High side then click ok.
