Are you familiar with the "Print Scr" or "Prt Sc" key in your keyboard? Honestly speaking, this key is one of the most neglected keys in everyones keyboard but for some people it is an important key to them. It is widely used by people who are conducting online tutorials.

For those of you who wants to know how to do the trick using Windows Vista, read the step by step instructions below. With Windows Vista Computers, you will use the feature called " Snipping Tool " found in Accessories. This feature is not available in Windows XP Computers.

Steps on How To Take A Screenshot On Windows Vista Computer

Step 1 : Open the page where you want to take a screenshot.

Step 2 : Click on "Start Menu", click All Programs, Accessories then look for Snipping Tools under Accessories and click it.A small Snipping Tool window pops up. It means to say that you are now ready to take a screenshot.

Step 3 : Drag your cursor to any portion of the screen where you want to capture a screenshot. You can choose any size you want. Once you release your cursor, the screenshot immediately appears on your screen. Click "Save" to save it to your desired folder.

Step 4 : You're Done. You are now ready to email your screenshot or use it in your website.

Step 5 : If you want to customize your screenshot, you can insert or import it in your photo editor

Hi Geraldine,

Nice hub, with excellent information. I am familiar with the snipping tool and it definitely comes in handy. However I do tend to neglect the 'PRTSC' button and could use some information on how to use it properly. As I understand it, the 'PRTSC' can either be used to print the whole screen, or just the browser screen. Not sure how to use it properly though because Windows most un-helpfully removed my Vista help (I assume during an 'upgrade') once they brought out the latest Windows!
