What Is The Difference Between LCD and Plasma T.V. Continuation

Plasma T.V. ADVANTAGES :

• Better quality on motion tracking – fast moving scenes

• Best for movies and sports.

• Better in dark rooms

• Larger screen size availability.

• Better contrast ratio and ability to render deeper blacks.

• Better color accuracy and saturation.

• Better viewing angle – Picture quality remains the same no matter where and how far you are from the screen.
• Comes in larger sizes than LCDs at a cheaper price.
  

DISADVANTAGES :

• Sometimes suffer from Screen burn-in problems which happens when an image is left for too long. However, newer releases of Plasma TV comes up with enhanced features and with lesser tendencies for burn-in images.

• Have altitude problems – does not perform well at higher altitudes.

• Shorter Display lifespan – Previous releases had 30,000 hours or 8 hrs of viewing a day for 9 years. However, never versions came up with improved screen life span rated as high as 60,000 hours equivalent to 15 years of average viewing. My best advice is to ask the store about the latest Display Lifespan for fresher information.

• Generates more heat due to the use of phosphors to light up images. Plasma TV still employs the burning of phosphors to generate an image making it suffer from some of the drawbacks of traditional televisions, such as heat generation and screen-burn of static images.

I hope you have carefully reviewed the advantages and disadvantages of each type of TV. As the saying goes “To Each His Own”. Each one of them was created with its own uniqueness, beauty and functional competency. It has its own strengths and weaknesses, advantages and disadvantages. As good as it gets!

So, it is really up to you to decide which one fits your interest and budget, maybe. Nothing is perfect anyway!!!

If you are a Big Screen fanatic and on a tight budget….then Plasma TV would be cool for you. It comes in larger sizes than LCDs at a cheaper price.

LCD T.V. is slim and Sexy with the sharpest image and highest resolution ever. Oppss……way too expensive than Plasma TV.

BUT….. if money matters is not really an issue here so…..large screen LCD TV would be much cooler than you think.

You’ll get what you’ll pay for anyway.
